CARGO LOADING AND DISCHARGE SUPERVISION / PORT CAPTAIN

 

Both from its own resources and through a network of fellow surveyors Abacus is able to provide cargo operations supervision worldwide. Senior Abacus personnel have undertaken many such supervisions including heavy lift operations, including roll on- roll off type movements.

 

Abacus is also able to provide stability calculations for large heavy lift items together with lashing plans. Together with many surveys loading or discharging steel pipes Abacus personnel have been involved in the loading and discharge, fully erect of mobile harbour cranes, partially dismantled dockside luffing cranes and other large oilfield modules.

 

Abacus have also considerable experience involving mobile bagging of grain, urea and phosphates at ports, mostly in Africa.
